Career

Keith NaylorAfter several years touring and lots of recording, Keith continued his musical education on the old Mecca Ballroom circuit where he was able to hone his reading and arranging skills. This was a fantastic apprenticeship and it was so handy to have a 10-piece band to practise arranging with. For the majority of this period he was based in the Midlands and was resident at Coventry Tiffanys during the birth of Two-Tone. Here he met and married singer, Eve Francis.

After a few years of residencies, Keith took his own band, TIME OUT, off around the world working on a high class cabaret circuit for Holiday Inns and Sun International. This led on to various Musical Directing opportunities working with Soul Legends Percy Sledge and O.C.Smith and the Southern African Productions of Elvis the Musical (West End principals) and The Wizard of Oz.

After a ten year break from the business, when he bought and ran a hotel (temporary insanity!!), Keith returned refreshed and rejeuvenated. First playing some great Ska and Reggae with The Inflatables, then doing a summer season with Haven, he then started working as an Musical Director for Butlins where he stayed for several years. Here he had marvellous opportunities to write and produce shows and to work with a large cast of singers.
